Annapurna Royal Trek

As one is walking along the peaceful ranges with terraced hills all around, colorful fauna painting the landscape, eagles soaring high above, and the majestic Annapurna Himalayas towering all around, one can feel higher than royalty with the discovery of the natural height of being alive. The five-day Annapurna Skyline Trek has been dubbed the 'Royal Trek' as Britain's prince Charles walked it in the 1980s. It's an excellent trek as it doesn't entail any particularly long walking days and there's always plenty to see. However there is no village inn accommodation available on this route, thus people tend to prefer to do this trek with guided trekking groups.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu-Transfer to Hotel
You will be met at the airport by our Adventure Jaljale representative and transfered to your hotel in Kathmandu. Rest at the hotel and briefing about the trip. There should be time to explore the city's many charms on your own too. Overnight (O/N) in Kathmandu (breakfast included).

Day 2: Sightseeing of Kathmandu:
Leave at 9 am for full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley including the holiest site in Nepal: the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO world heritage site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. We can also visit the Shyambhunath a 2000 year old temple colloquially known as the "Monkey Temple" and visit Patan city of fine arts. In the evening there wil be a briefing at your hotel or at the office. O/N in Kathmandu (breakfast included).

Day 3: Drive/Flight to Pokhara.
You have to take an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The flight offers some awesome views of the Himalayan range. Our staff will receive you at the airport and escort you to your hotel in Pokhara where you will have a free day to relax, shop or go sightseeing on your own. Alternatively, you can take the tourist bus to Pokhara at 7AM to arrive around 2PM. O/N at guesthouse in Pokhara (breakfast included)

Day 4: POKHARA - KALIKASTHAN
After breakfast, we have a short drive to Vijayapur Khola, from where the trek starts. We walk about an hour through the flat rice fields and cross the river. If you are doing this trek in the summer the river may be difficult to cross as it is often flooded. After crossing the river the trail starts to ascend to Kalikasthan. Lunch will be served half way through the climb. Arrive Kalikasthan and camp at the top of the grassy land. O/N Camping in Kalikasthan (all meals included)

Day 5: KALIKASTHAN - SYANGLUNG
After breakfast start walking through the villages. We walk on the ridge of the mountain with great views of Annapurna and Lamjung Himal. O/N camping in Syaglung. (all meals included)

Day 6: SYANGLUNG - CHISAPANI
Walk through the Gurung Village and rhododendron and Sal forest. Half way through the walk there is a 400 metre descent and 600 metre ascent to arrive at Chisopani. This is the best point to see the Himalayan Panorama. You will see Dhaulagiri to the west of Annapurna. O/N in camping in Chisapani. (all meals included)

Day 7: CHISAPANI - POKHARA
We walk half way down hill to Rupatal and climb about 200 metres to arrive at Sundare danda and walk 15 minutes down to Begnas Tal where we will have an hour's boat ride to catch the transfer to Pokhara. O/N in Pokhara (breakfast included)

Day 8: Return to Kathmandu
After breakfast you will journey back from Pokhara to Katmandu by tourist Coach (about 7 hours) or you can take a flight (25 minutes) and accomodation will be arranged for you in Kathmandu. O/N at guesthouse in Kathmandu (breakfast included).

Day 9: Transfer to international airport for your final departure.
If you are interested in continuing on to the Chitwan Jungle Safari, River Rafting Adventure or any other tours you can start today.
