Trip Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu
Around midnight arrival in Nepal. The cosmopolitan city and the capital Kathmandu is the main gateway for travellers to Nepal. Upon arrival, you will be met by an Indo Vacations representative and transferred to the Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu - Patan - Kathmandu
In the morning we start our sightseeing by visiting Durbar Square. Durbar Square is the spiritual heart of Kathmandu. The old royal palace at the centre of the city was surrounded by temples and other important buildings. This is the most important point in Kathmandu to see the culture and religion of Nepal. After visiting the Durbar square we visit the temple of living goddess Kumari. After visiting the temple we visit the Swayambhunath. The stupa at Swayambhunath is the most important and oldest site of Buddhist worship in Nepal. Swayambhunath Stupa is famous for the eyes of Buddha which seem to observing the world from all 4 directions. After visiting Swayambhunath we drive to Patan. Patan was the second largest town in the valley but it has been absorbed into Kathmandu. Patan was previously known as Lalitpur (the beautiful city). The temple architecture here gave this city fame to be unique and most beautiful.

Day 03: Kathmandu - Bhaktapur - Nagarkot
In the morning we drive to Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur is the Kathmandu valley\'s most medieval city and the third biggest city of the valley. This city is situated about 13 kilometers east of Kathmandu and was one of the three kingdoms of the Mallas. Bhaktapur has preserved it\'s medieval character better than Patan. In Bhaktapur we visit the golden Door, the palace of 55 windows (15th century) and Pagoda Nyatapola (18th century). In the evening we drive to Nagarkot. Nagarkot is a famous hill station situated 30 kms east of Kathmandu city at an altitude of 2,175 m above sea-level. Nagarkot has the best vantage point for a view of the Himalayas from the Kathmandu valley. On clear weather we can enjoy the view from Anupurna range upto Mount Everest.

Day 04: Nagarkot - Lumbini
In the morning after having breakfast we drive to Lumbini. Drive to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. About 7-8 hrs drive. Drive passes through the bank of the famous rivers of Nepal, enjoying the natural beauties; green forests & gorges, after 4 hrs, the drive enters into lowland of Nepal where the roads are straight & wide. Upon arrival in Lumbini. Check in to the hotel & rest days at free.
Day 05 - Sightseeing tour of Lumbini.
Visit the birthplace of Lord Buddha, the apostle of peace, compassion & non-violence. Here one can see the broken Ashok pillar, remnants of an old monastery, images of Buddha\'s mother Maya Devi etc. are still preserved in Lumbini. Visit sacred Garden where Buddha was born, Mayadevi Temple, and Puskarni Pond where Buddha\'s mother had taken a bath before giving birth to Buddha. Visit different monasteries, which represent different countries like Myanmar Temple, China Temple, Korean Temple, Nepal Buddha Temple etc.

Day 06 - After breakfast drive to Chitwan.
Afternoon – Wildlife activities includes: village tour, Elephant breeding center, Cultural program. Dinner and rest

Day 07 - Full day wildlife activities including canoeing, Jungle walks and Elephant Safari. Dinner and rest.

Day 08 - After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu (5 hours drive). Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 09 - Free in Kathmandu for personal activities.

Day 10 - Transfer to airport for departure flight.
