Siklish is a short and popular trekking destination in annapurna region trekking trail. This is trek to an area little frequented by westerners to one of the largest gurung villages in west Nepal. The Siklish trek starts with a drive from Pokhara to Lampata and passes through Ghale Gaon and over the pass to Parje and Siklis - the largest Gurung settlements. From Siklis, the route turns east and stays along the ridge through Kalikathan and Shyaklung with a final night at Chisopani before descending to Pokhara via Rupa and Begnas lakes. This trekk probes an un crowded corner of The Annapurna Conservation Area under the shadows of Lamjung Himal and Annapurna II and IV. This fabulous camping trek takes about a week, starting at Beganas Tal (Lake) and heading north to the Madi Khola, then following the river's west bank up to a well-preserved Siklish (1,980m), Nepal's biggest Gurung village. From here we strike westwards over the thickly forested ridge that separates the Madi and Seti Khola drainage’s and then descend via Ghachok, another Gurung settlement. 

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu Airport.
You will be met at the airport by our Adventure Jaljale representative and transfered to your hotel in Kathmandu. Rest at the hotel and briefing about the trip. There should be time to explore the city's many charms on your own too. Overnight (O/N) in Kathmandu (breakfast included).

Day 2: Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley.
Leave at 9 am for full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley including the holiest site in Nepal: the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO world heritage site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. We can also visit the Shyambhunath a 2000 year old temple colloquially known as the "Monkey Temple" and visit Patan city of fine arts. In the evening there wil be a briefing at your hotel or at the office. O/N at lodge in Kathmandu (breakfast included).

Day 3: Drive/Flight to Pokhara.
You have to take an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The flight offers some awesome views of the Himalayan range. Our staff will receive you at the airport and escort you to your hotel in Pokhara where you will have a free day to relax, shop or go sightseeing on your own. Alternatively, you can take the tourist bus to Pokhara at 7AM to arrive around 2PM. O/N at guesthouse in Pokhara (breakfast included)

Day 4:: Pokhara drive to BijaypurKhola and trek to Thulakot and over night in Camp

Day 5: Thulakot to Taprang and overnight (5 hours)

Day 6: Taprang to Lamakhet and overnight (5 hours)

Day 7: Lamakhet to Siklis and overnight (4 hours)

Day 8: Rest Day

Day 9: Siklis to Thumke-Danda and overnight (5 hours)

Day 10: Thumke-Danda trek to Phedi - khola about 3hours and drive to Pokhara

Day 11: Return to Kathmandu
After breakfast you will journey back from Pokhara to Katmandu by tourist Coach (about 7 hours) or you can take a flight (25 minutes) and accomodation will be arranged for you in Kathmandu. In the evening, we we have a farewell dinner and say goodbye for now. O/N at guesthouse in Kathmandu (breakfast included).

Day 12: Transfer to international airport for your final departure.
If you are interested in continuing on to the Chitwan Jungle Safari, River Rafting Adventure or any other tours you can start today.

If on the other hand your trip is at an end, we will say goodbye for now and our Airport Representative will drop you at the Kathmandu International Airport for your flight departure from Nepal.
